Lakeland Junior High School

Principal's Message

Welcome to Lakeland Junior High School,

I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity to welcome you to Lakeland Junior High School. The staff here is passionately and fully invested in providing your student with the best education possible. Our priorities are to provide our students with a safe, caring, and academically challenging environment that will prepare and empower them to be successful and productive members of our society. We value all students and know that with school support, parental support, community support, and hard work every student can learn and will be successful here at Lakeland Junior High.

Lakeland Junior High School continues to be recognized as one of the top junior highs in the state of Idaho. Additionally, the Lakeland School District continues to be recognized as one of the top school districts throughout the state for its outstanding academic and extra-curricular accomplishments. Our school will continue to be committed to a standard of excellence where we will provide our students with the knowledge, skills and work ethic that will prepare them to be college and career ready.

Developing a partnership between parents, teachers, administration and students is a top priority. When we all take an active role in our student’s education great strides are made. Open communication between the school and parents is an essential piece in this partnership. We have many forms of communication available: face to face, phone, email, Skyward parent access, and Skylerts via text or email. We will be utilizing all these methods throughout the year to provide you with up to date information.

Finally, the Lakeland Junior High Staff is vested in your child’s education as well as our community’s well-being. We will provide your student with a safe, caring environment where they can grow academically, socially and emotionally. We have a wonderful staff that is committed, determined and truly cares about every child. We believe that working together and creating a partnership between the school, parents, students and community will allow us to achieve the best possible educational outcomes for our students.Take time to sit and talk with your child about their school day, and please do not hesitate to contact us at anytime with concerns or questions.

I am very excited about the 2017-2018 school year and all of the opportunities it will bring!
